Career
Kathleen's career has been characterized by diverse experiences, including years at the bedside, teaching, and nursing administration. Her focus predominantly centered around the rehabilitation component of healthcare, where she honed her skills and developed a profound understanding of the importance of personalized care, education and support in the journey to recovery.
Education
Armed with a Masters Degree from Boston University and a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Hunter College, New York, Kathleen brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the field of newborn care. Having received an international certification as a lactation consultant (IBCLC) in 2023 demonstrates the continued dedication to education.
Experience
Kathleen's transformative shift to the realm of infant care was inspired by a heartwarming encounter with a medically complex baby in Barrington, RI. This experience opened a new chapter in her career, revealing a deep passion for providing nursing care to newborns and their parents. Bringing the conceptual framework of rehabilitation - being the best you can be with resources and supports you may not have known existed - Kathleen has created her unique approach to newborn and parent healthcare.
